Creating a business-friendly environment to sustain and grow Spokane Valley businesses, while recruiting new business, is the foremost goal of Spokane Valley’s Economic Development Department.
Spokane Valley has a population of nearly 103,000 people. It is located within the Spokane-Spokane Valley MSA which is a top 100 U.S. metro market. Spokane County’s population is approximately 522,000 and it is considered the regional, economic and cultural hub of a four-state region with over 2.5 million people. The region’s population and employment has grown at a steady pace. From 2010 to 2019, the county’s population grew 10.9 percent.
The City of Spokane Valley understands that continued economic growth is critical to its economy and quality of life. That growth depends on the decisions of business leaders to start, relocate or expand in Spokane Valley. With that in mind, the city’s economic development team is dedicated to supporting, retaining and growing its business community.
From creating business-friendly incentives, permitting and workforce initiatives for relocating businesses, to administering programs to help small, local businesses grow, the Spokane Valley economic development team is determined to provide unrivaled customer service and unique value no matter the business.
