Existing Industrial and Business Parks:
The northeast industrial area of the city, east of Barker Road, is being developed by Centennial Properties Inc. The area encompasses about 100 acres of developable land. The City of Spokane Valley and Spokane County have partnered to install sewer lines to serve a portion of the acreage. In addition, a Union Pacific rail spur is being installed and will serve a portion of the property. In mid-2018, a major developer of cross-laminated timber (CLT), Katerra, purchased acreage in the industrial park and began construction on a 250,000-square foot manufacturing facility at the site. The CLT plant is scheduled to open in early 2019.
