The Spokane Valley Chamber Foundation is stimulating workforce development in Spokane Valley through the sponsorship of annual scholarships to graduating seniors.
The Chamber Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to promoting and enhancing community development through the creation and sponsorship of scholarships, leadership development and educational programs.
2018 Scholarships
Career Tech Education Scholarships
Students pursuing a two-year career/technical program degree locally can apply for a CTE scholarship. Awarded up to $3,000 annually, these scholarships can be used for tuition, fees and the cost of any tools/equipment needed for a student’s program. The application deadline is March 9, 2018. Other scholarships
The Sam Campbell Memorial Scholarship was created through memorial gifts given to honor a former business leader. In past years, the scholarship has helped students progress toward earning degrees in business administration, sports management, hotel and restaurant management and accounting, among others. In 2017, the scholarship award was $1000. The application deadline is May 21, 2018. Click here to learn more or apply.
The Liberty lake Rotary Scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $1,500. This scholarship is intended for high school seniors who plan to study a business program at a college, university or vocational school. Applications are now being accepted. Click here to learn more or apply.
2017 scholarship winners
The foundation recently announced its 2017-18 scholarship recipients. Congratulations to the both the foundation and this year’s scholarship winners!
Since 2016, the Foundation has raised $66,000 and awarded seven scholarships totaling $20,000. Many individuals and businesses in the valley have contributed financially to help launch the foundation’s scholarship program.
