Farmers Market opens on June 5
The Spokane Valley farmers market will open on June 5 at CenterPlace Regional Events Center in the parking area near Discovery Playground. The market will operate every Friday evening, 5-8 p.m., through Sept. 18.
This year, the market is asking attendees to practice physical distancing due to COVID restrictions. The market will provides an opportunity for residents and visitors in Spokane Valley to purchase fruit and produce, eggs, meat, cheese, honey, wine, cider, soap and other agricultural items from local farms and vendors. The market may not include area artists and crafters until restrictions are eased.
A complete list of vendors will be available at the market. Potential vendors can apply to participate in the market by completing a vendor application.
CenterPlace is located at 2426 N. Discovery Place in Mirabeau Point Park. The location offers free public parking and quick access to I-90 from either Evergreen or Pines exits. Discovery Playground, an all-abilities play area for kids, is located adjacent to the market and public restrooms are also onsite.
The market is coordinated by the JAKT Foundation, a nonprofit that works to promote events focused on chefs and cultural celebration in the Intermountain Northwest, while partnering and highlighting Spokane Valley’s vibrant and healthy community. JAKT also sponsors Crave Northwest in July at CenterPlace.
