Hilton to build a ‘Tru’ brand hotel in Spokane Valley
A new Tru hotel by Hilton is being constructed on a three-acre site at the northeast corner of Mansfield Avenue and Mirabeau Parkway in Spokane Valley. The site is adjacent to the city’s CenterPlace Regional Event Center and Mirabeau Point Park, which host numerous events in the valley including a weekly farmers market, Crave Food & Drink Celebration, Valleyfest, Oktoberfest and other local activities. It is easily accessible from Interstate 90.
The 43,000-square-foot, four-story hotel is described as a boutique hotel aimed at younger travelers. Hilton’s Tru hotels offer mobile check-in, digital room keys, lobby tablets and public spaces for guests. There are 60 Tru hotels nationwide, including properties in Idaho Falls and Boise, but Spokane Valley’s Tru hotel will be the first in Washington State. Hilton has more than 17 hotel brands with 5,700 properties worldwide.
The hotel is in the early stages of construction. No word on when it will be open for business.
