QUESTION: What is the budget for this work?
ANSWER: Likely, the budget will be between $50,000 and $90,000 for 2024. The city will collaborate with the selected consultant to negotiate a final budget and fees.
QUESTION: Could we request an extension to the submission deadline?
ANSWER: No, we cannot extend the submission deadline.
QUESTION: Could we request an electronic submission in light of the lifting of all delivery guarantees from all the courier companies?
ANSWER: No, we must have delivery of four copies and an electronic copy as noticed in the RFQ by 4 p.m., Friday, March 29
QUESTION: Could you let us know what the timeline would be to get this work completed within?
ANSWER: The work included in this contract would need to be completed by Dec. 31, 2024.
QUESTION: Could you let us know if you have a local preference or are you open to a Canadian agency that has done similar work with clients across the United States, with some currently being the States of California, Colorado and Wyoming?
ANSWER: We did not identify a local preference and did not restrict responses in the RFQ to agencies in the US, so companies outside of the US can respond.
QUESTION: What kind of economic development advertising is included in the contract?
ANSWER: Past advertising initiatives have included strategic campaigns that focus on recruiting new businesses or enhancing existing businesses, or campaigns that are designed to attract skilled labor to the City. These campaigns have included the use of paid targeted digital (both static image and video), broadcast media, social media, print and other strategies/tools.
QUESTION: What kind of event advertising is included in the contract?
ANSWER: Past advertising initiatives have promoted “signature” City events that create “identity and place” for Spokane Valley and engage area residents. These events include Valleyfest, Spokane Valley Farmers Market, Cycle Celebration and other events. The consultant works with city staff and event organizers to prepare targeted advertising campaigns, including the necessary creative and purchasing media.
QUESTION: Why are you seeking a new agency?
ANSWER: The consultant/agency that performed this marketing work for the past two years has closed
