Term: 2026 to 2029
Laura Padden is serving her second term on the City Council after first being elected in November 2021.
Padden holds a bachelor's degree in police science and administration from Washington State University and computer science from Eastern Washington University.
Padden worked in private industry for many years and has now been employed at the Community Colleges of Spokane as a software developer for nearly 20 years. She is actively involved in her church in various capacities and serves on the Finance Council.
Padden is a native of Spokane and has been a resident of Spokane Valley since the age of two. She is a frequent blood donor and an active volunteer in the community. She and her husband, Mike, have five grown sons and four grandchildren.
